Mpg on an 88 Baja 240

I have an 88 Baja 240 sport, stock 454 mag, 4 blade 23' prop. I'm planning on making a trip from Augusta to savannah ga by river, about 130 miles. Wondering what kind of mpg the boat will get at cruising speed 30-35. The main reason is I have a 100 gallon gas tank and there are no fuel stops on the way, just want to make sure I don't run out of gas. Thanks guys!

You should get 1.5-2.0mpg. Thats what I got in my 24 Outlaw with a 454mag.

Yeah, I would agree with Griff.

You will be pushing it closer than I like to, to make that trip. May want to strap some extra gas cans on somewhere.

extra cans might be dangerous, I use to run aprox 120 miles round trip out to block island and back at speeds 40 to 60mph with my 240 454 and 502 one trip we ran to long island and back that was a extra 40miles and still had gas left. if your running 35mph you should get 200 miles out of it easy. with my 650 hp 509 I use to run a pokerrun at 65 to 75mph ran 60miles used 60gals . you could go out before then and put 30 gals in your tank and buz around for a 1/2 hour or hour then top it off to see if you used up the 30gals.

Top off the tank with the boat in the water. The angle on the trailer may only allow it it take in 90-95 gallons. I still think you should have plenty of fuel to make the trip.

alright guys, just got back from my trip, it was a great time. All the ladies loved the boat when i pulled up on river street in Savannah. Well on the way there, about 130miles, i burned through only 55 gallons of gas... average speed of about 40mph. The trip back i went through about 70 gallons , but we were going against the current. Thanks again for all the help, i have a few other questions about running the boat, but ill start a new thread for those.
