vhf radio question
 

I have a Shakespeare SE2510 vhf radio. The problem is that it squeals like feedback thru the speaker when receiving. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check your antenna connection. If the outside wire strand is coming in contact with the solid inner wire, it can do exaxtly what you are talking about.

I tried a different antenna and it was the same.

Tried a different radio?

New radio? Take it back. Old radio, get a new one.
