The casting numbers= 454 (7.4) Mark IV short deck, 1990-1991

how we can get more rpm
what we need to change

Exhaust would be a start as well as intake. A victor Jr works well.

i bought a small block
the number is 3970020
he said it is a 5.7 rebuild and bored with new pistons

but i was searching by the number and a saw that the engine is a 5.0 ??
can somebody help me
how much it have ps ?
