Starter Problem
 
MY BOAT DOESNT EVEN HAVE 5 HOURS ON IT AND ALREADY STARTER TOOK A DUMP-YES STARTER IS OR WAS BRAND NEW-ITS A API MARINE STARTER SUPPOSEDLY MINI HY TORQUE DEAL.CAN ANYBODY RECOMMEND SOMETHING STRONGER THAT WILL LAST-COULDNT I JUST PUT LIKE A TILTON OR CSI DEAL .ITS A LOW MOUNT..MOTOR IS A N/A 588 CID PUMP GAS . ANY INFOR IS GEATLY APPRECIATED...

I have had very good luck with the starters from Boat US. They have a huge list of starters to choose from that will fit your aplication.

MSD makes a switch that retards the timing on just on startup for easier starts. it may help.

ignition on delay
 
if the advance on your ignition system is loading the starter you can install a seperate ignition kill switch and turn ignition on after the motor is cranking at full speed.

just spend the money and buy a tilton marine starter it wont let you down:D

Check main ground to engine block:)
