Ground issue?

OK. I flip my blower switch and 5 other switches light up. Blower doesn't come on. Same with NAV lights, bilge pump, and others. Could I have a ground problem? Behind the helm or in the bilge? Where do I look?

I took out the breaker panel. All looks tight and clean.

ground wires

i went through this same problem about a mounth ago w/my fountain.my trim, tabbs.hatch and all the rest of my stuff stoped working while i was boating.what i found was the ground wire commong from the engine compartment was bad.i found this out buy taking a new ground wire from one of the batterys and found my main ground wire and controles and subatuted the new ground from the old.hope this helps.

Pretend I know nothing about wiring, mainly because I don't. Since it's affecting many different controls, I'm assuming it's some kind of main ground, like you said. It would have to be grounded somewhere on one of the motors right? Where would I run a new wire from - to?

i would start at the healm.look at your swithes and they may have a ground at the switch or have a common ground bar.most of the time the wire is black.what you would do is get a peace of strained wire about 10gage.hook that to your negative side of the battery.my problem i found was at the small side pannel where i sit.it has my hatch lift switch there and a small juction bar there where all the ground wire hooked togeather.i wind up running a new wire to this bar from the battery negative side..this took care of the problem.
