How Important is Prop Pitch?

I have a Donzi 43 ZR with triple 700/ NXT drives. Lost the center drive lower end as well as the prop. Have a new drive coming tomorrow. Still working on prop. The props are MR 17.00 x 38 with 18R. Cant find that exact prop but I have a company willing to lend me a 17.00 x 39 18R so we can still make the Cumberland Poker run while we have a new prop made. Also found a set of 16.75 x 38 18R 1200hp rated (mine are 850). How would it perform if I put those two on the port and stbd and move my current port 17x38 to the center. How much will the 1/4 inch affect the performance? Or should I just take the loaner 39? Im guessing that will cost a few hundred RPM on top for the center engine. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks

The guy who could really answer your question is Brett from Bblades. I have seen folks running weird things on a center engine, but have no personal experience with it. I even know a few folks who don't bother to run a center skeg. Remember, that drive is set deeper, so it's got more bite.
