can someone explain the advatage of more deadrise

Less deadrise ( 21 or less ) is for calm lakes and a flat bottom boat is faster with less power,,,,, ( 23-24 ) is an offshore deadrise, slower, but helps cut through the waves.

that makes sense, what would be the best in 2ft waves
