Carb to Fuel Injection
I 've got a pair of 1990 454 mags I just rebuilt and I'm converting them over from carb to fuel injection. I just purchased two "COMPLETE" 2001 502mpi fuel injection systems off a friends Baja . Has anybody out there tried this and if so do you have any suggestions or tips for me on the swich over. I already know I 'm going to need an HEI distributer and I'm having the ECM'S re-mapped to match the specs of my motors. Just wondering if anybody else has tried this conversion ????

I did the same project last year. It went pretty smooth. I used the earlier version of the EFI, so I battled the vapor lock issue that has been posted about many times here on OSO. I just modified the system some and it has worked flawlessly since. Very happy so far, well worth the effort! Steve |
