harmonics/ offshore plate/ oil cooler
Looking for the most accesible place to mount my coolers and they will fit beter mounting them under the front of the engine botlted to the offshore plate. This will make geting to the oil filter much easier than mounting them on the middle stringer.
I thought this morning that maybe mounting in this style will cause vibration through the offshore plate and into the cooler causing the oil to aggitate. Any ideas on wether this will be the case or not?? I could fabricate a rubber bushing to help with this. I also don't see that this could be any worse than mounting on the bellhousing, so maybe I don't have anything to wory about. |
I agree with you on the bell housing mounts.
1st Merc has mounted on the engine for years and with the black motors and they are not balanced as close as after market should be (harmonics). 2nd, under the pressure I don't believe you will aggitate the oil (no place to aggitate under the pressure). My take :coolcowboy: Jim |
