Rev 4 or Bravo for bow lift?

Any opinions on which of these 4 blades adds more Bow lift?

4 blades give transom lift,,, Try a 3 blade Mirage Plus

Thanks for the quick reply there obnoxus! :D I thought though one may do somewhat better then the other. Am I off base in my thinkin? Ever compare a Rev 4 to a Bravo wheel? I'm curious as to blade area etc...

I'd consider trying the Mirage but really like the bite of the Rev 4.

I have used both

I had a 24 pitch bravo 1 and had Merc lab it for me. I then bought a 23 pitch Rev 4. It was about 2 to 2.5 GPS faster in stock form than the 24 labbed bravo 1 on my HTM cat. The dia. on the Rev 4 is14.625" and the bravos when you actually measure them are around 15.1 to 15.125".
I liked the Rev 4 but the biggest pitch is 23.
When I put my Imco shortie on I was forced to go to a Bravo. Needed the larger dia.
I don't think the Revs have more bow lift. I think they have less transom lift.

The Rev4 creates a LOT of STERN lift and very little bow lift. My 24 Outlaw hated the REV4.

The difference between V's and Cat's

Ya just don't know till ya try.
My buddy with a 26 Donzi tried my Rev 4 and it was slower than his Bravo 1

Rev 4 / Bravo 1

After much experimenting and asking many questions I came up with these answers to your questions. I believe that less bow lift should not be confused with more "stern lift". All 4 blades do not offer better bow lift than all 3 blades. 4 blades with raked blades seem to offer better bow lift than those without raked blades. Not all 4 blades have raked blades. The Bravo One 4 blade has raked blades. Round ears offer different lift characteristics than cleavers and other type blade shapes.

Figure in your mounting height, boat type, weight, available power, your typical type of use and use those facts to start looking for the best prop for your application. Then test every available prop.
