duo prop wont go in gear
 

i have a performer 24 volvo duo prop was running great stopped for 10 minutes now wont go in forward but will go in reverse and will also start in reverse any help would be appreciated thanks

what year drive set up or is a old 290 set up. and no boat should start in gear. period

its a 1990 says its a740/dp

in the morning take the back cover off, disconnect the cable and see if you can mechanicly shift it, then be very careful start boat up and shift it again back there by hand. but for safety sake take the props off so there is no chance of a accident.

i believe it is a 290

i took it apart i cant shift it by hand

it seems to be stuck in reverse
