The engine should be run on a dyno to verify ecm program. Mark is one of the best but the only way to make sure that your not going to have a melt down is to dyno tune. Should be a great package for you. Look at the dyno as an insurance policy. Your going to have a lot of money in some parts, how big of a risk do you want to take?

Do the bores have taper or scoring? If not you may not need to go 30 over.

It would be nice to dyno the motor but there is only one dyno on the island where I live and it is not really set up for marine engines.....although we could probably make it work, second problem is to have somebody actually tune it while on the dyno.....this is not a high performance boat "repair" area...lol Although the actually boating is awesome....:D |
