Crane 13532-16 lifters in Gen 6 blocks
Hi guys.
Anybody know if the Crane lifters with the link bars will clear the taller lifter bores of the Gen 6 motors? I think it will, just not 100% sure. Thanks! |
Keep it simple!
No they are not the best thing to use in this engine.
Just buy the GM high performance Gen 6 hydraulic roller lifters, part #12371056 set of 16. They are the most reliable, best machined medium dollar set available. I keep saying this year after year, outside of the expensive Morel hydraulic roller lifters for GM big blocks, I don't think any aftermarket hydraulic roller lifter is as good or reliable as the GM high performance part. Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |
Stock engine or modified? How much lift?

Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar Are these the same as the stock roller lifters that come with the motor or are they a specific HP part? Reason I ask is will they tolerate a higher lift cam (are they longer) than the stock ones? I read somewhere that the stock rollers are only good for .550" lift or so. Is this true? Thanks!:drink: |
Actually running a 509 with 234/236 .600/.610. The stock GM lifters fit (dont drop below the dogbone, sit the same as stock cams), but I have 180/450 spring pressure now. I know the GM lifters dont like really anymore than 150 on the seat as they begin to tick.
