Single carb sideways mounting

Does anyone know if anybody makes a linkage kit for mounting a single 4500 dominator sideways on a 250 blower? Or pics of that setup? :drink:

joe, you really dont need a fancy linkage set up for a single carb unless the headers are in the way of the throttle cable..if the cable is not in the way of the headers you can use the standard mounting cable bracket the mounts to the studs of the carberator..The cables may look a little funky tho going in from the side..

good point mike. Why overengineer it. worse case i get some shorter cables or try to hide some of the excess cable in the gunwales. Thinking mounting them so the pull arm will be towards the back of the boat.

Might not look the best, but i'm shooting for more even fuel distribution with the 250 blowers and the single 1050 dominator. Read that doing this on a similar setup lowered the #7, #8 and #1 and #2 cyl temps by about 200 degrees. seems that with mounting carb inline you either have some lean outer cylinders, or to get them right, the inner ones end up too rich.

Sure it wasn't a split dominator set up? we run that set up on the race car (4) of them mounted sideways..almost a straight shot into the intake runners..

nah, single dominator. Supposedly part throttle operation the fuel is mainly in the center of the carb due to the angle of the throttle plates. Mounting sideways helps distribute it more evenly to the further cylinders i take it.

Ive seen that split dominator setup you are talking about, pretty slick stuff..:drink:
