Manifolds EMI or GIL

Which ones flow better?

You would have to use a flow bench to find that out. They are very similar. What is your application?

Thought you might like this as it will give you some more in depth technical information. This link http://www.cpperformance.com/instruc...comparison.pdf is a copy out of HP Books "Big Block Marine Performance" by Dennis Moore and it gives some great details comparing manifold designs.

You will see a cut-away of both Gil and EMI. While they name they reference the name GIL on the one cut-away manifold which is now produced by Hardin marine. They don't name the EMI/KODIAK/ RED LINE, REVOLuTION manifold cut-away as that manifold is private labeled manufactured under many brands of economy based exhaust systems . Do some investigating of the cut-away and you will be able to easily identify them.

Best Regards

There is NO EMI manifold pictured in that write up.

The EMI floes much better than the dinky thing compared next to the Gil style. It is somewhat similar to the Gil & flows similarly. Granted there are some manifolds that are better than others, but the EMI is not a bad unit.

The other dinky'er one is more like a glm or other basic merc replacement in aluminum..
