Morrow,
I just sent you a reply to your email. Whatever route you go, you will need to do some programming to the ecm. The odds are real good that you will not get a 100% perfect tune doing the ecm through the mail..... even if it is a common package. This is why I don't do any "packages". Every engine is a little different, therefore they all take a little different tune. More than likely, you will end up sending it back and forth to get it right, and it all depends on the data that you collect as to how good the tune will be. I do every one on a customer to customer basis, since everyone has a little different goal and budget. Not everyone wants the same thing. Give me a shout if you would like to talk about your project. I need to know a little more about your goals for power and/or speed to know which direction to recommend. I can do all of the engine work, install, tuning, etc. all under one roof. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Eddie 615-216-7449 |

You can't go wrong with Bob and Mark. Bob knows his stuff for sure....and so does Mark. I couldn't be happier with what work they have done for me. Bob will spend hours with you on the phone to get you a well built and tuned motor.
Bear in mind I know squat about efi, of any kind. But.... it seems allot of guys have had issues with efi after engine mods. Seems the best way to reprogram is to have the engine dyno'd, and or have an efi guru in the boat with his computer to tune/reprogram as necessary. That said, I believe, IMHO (very H mind you) that going carb would be easier. And maybe cheaper in the long run. For the most part a carb engine will perform as well as efi. Mine runs flawlessly with a Dominator, regardless of the weather/conditions. Regardless, I wouldn't 2nd guess Bob Madara or Mark when it comes to cam choice, or what to do with your efi.... 'sept ditch it LOL |

all in all im a ways from getting there.... it wont even be until end of next week at the soonest before i even get my parts motor for the block.... which btw has a custom tbi efi set up on it! (not a factory merc setup) so there is another choice as to what im going to use and what will perform best |

my main reasoning for efi is to keep the resale of the deal.... any yahoo off the street decides they want to buy my boat and i give them recites for work done and custom cam and comp flash with the efi... its going to sell better and for more than some guy with a carb and a claim....

im not hating on you kidnova... i just feel like alot of ppl in the world are idiots.... efi can be a selling point... but i know alot of ppl with really fast stuff with a holley on top... best friend has a 67 dart.... 318 and a holley being blown through by a 80mm turbo.... amazing things are always possible and i have had 3 carb motors in my novas but boat people here on the west coast are a strang breed.... especially where i live in the seattle bellevue area...(to many people with their noses in the air)
