Throttle body gasket change?

I'm rebuilding a 7.4l MPI (l29) 1999. The old Throttle body gasket had two rectangle holes and one large circle. On the new gasket, one of the square holes connects to the circle now. I cant find a gasket where the it has not been cut out.

Is this a change that was made since original design and will it effect idle or performance in anyway.

Very curious and thanks for any response.
