Where ever you take it, make sure they don't drop it in an oven to bake off the old paint. The temps involved get too hot for aluminum.

I'm not for sure on what colors it can be done to. I think it needs to be on a light color.

Thats what I was guessing... probably has to be light.

Looks like I'm going to have about 500 into it by the time its done- thats stripping and powder. Dropped off the platform about a week and a half ago, picking it up this Monday.

Had to have the port side foot cut to match the starboard side for steering fittings and I'm leaving the griptape off of it this time.

Did you get your platform back yet? Did you end up taking it back to Extreme?

I'm guessing my platform was done way back when he farmed out the powdercoating to another company. The finish on it now is WAY better than the original finish. He said they started doing the finishing in house due to poor quality from outside vendors.

I got your PM awhile back, thanks for the info. I'll probably run mine over before too long and have them finish stripping it and recoat.
