Rebuilding 1982 Wellcraft nova II
 

Bought a 26' nova with cracked engine blocks and rebuilding the boat as a winter project. Looking at building 4 bolt main 350's with marine parts and better heads but it might be easier to go to the newer vortec block but don't know if they will work. Planning on putting in a fresh water cooling kit. Looking for durability over high HP but wouldn't mind around 300 hp. Any ideas/suggestions?
