bowtie block
does this block require the tiebar connectors for roller lifters ?
it has a 10.147 deck hight so what would be a good crank to use ? Has a 2 piece rear seal. I just bought this so any other suggestions would be great. http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/a...enginepic1.jpg |
yes it does, make shure you get the right pistons for it if it has been decked .050

What in the pic shows you that they need the tie bars? and is 10.147 the stock hight for a tall deck?
The other question I have are hydrolic lifters beter than the non hyd lifters? I need some help with that decision. |

Thats a good block, you can make a 540 ish CI engine out of it. Use a 4.375 stroker crank with .030 over pistons. You will need some tall deck specific parts to make it work, intake, pushrods, ext... You will need the tie bar lifters to convert it to a roller.
Also somone must have milled it down a little, it should be 10.2 deck height. A standard block would be 9.8 |
