it will work great,,,,, you could also get the AFR 405

Philm 04-13-2011 08:25 AM

It should work great, if you are planning on spinning to 6500RPM+. Could be a little big but someone more knowledgeable than me can answer that better.

what size cam are you goig to use?

kvogt 04-13-2011 09:18 AM

Unless you are going solid roller and high RPM, I would go a little smaller.

What boat, what supercharger, what HP are you looking for ?

PatriYacht 04-14-2011 06:17 AM

Too big. Drag racers are spinning 8000 rpm with those heads on 598's. Also, there are guys here that have made 1200hp supercharged with AFR 315 cnc heads. Stick to the 357 cnc and maybe have a set of 2.35 intake valves installed.

47EXCALIBUR 04-14-2011 08:06 AM

you can use those heads,,,, there not to big you just have to put the right cam in....something around 254 264 650 655,,,you will make more HP with big heads and a small cam than if you had small heads and a big cam,,,,

345 is the optimum head for a 598 in a boat !
its about air speed , not volume !!!!!
