CD Player remote question
 

I have a Clarion XMD2 and it has 2 Clarion wired remotes hooked into it. I am wondering if a Clarion CMD5 will hook into these wired remotes? I was told they should but wanted to make sure everything was compatible before I bought a new deck.

It did for me, I replaced one last season on a 53 carver with a remote on the back deck. I know the remote works, but I cannot remember if the display on the remote works, but I will be down at the boat tomorrow and can let you know. Also, just to let you know, the new unit is smaller, and I had to make a new piece out of starboard then recut and drill new holes.

My remotes are from back when the boat was new in '01. Will these still work? Here is a picture of my remote:

Does anyone know if a CMD4 will work with the remote i have linked above? Also what do i need for an iPod hook up?
