Gen IV 454 Cam Retainer Plate?
 
Rebuilding a reverse rotation motor and need a cam retainer plate.Any ideas where I can find one and if a Gen V will work?

In order to use a cam reainer plate you will nee a gen VI reverse cam also..if im not mistakin instead of having a timing chain you should have gears which will require a cam button..

Thanks for the reply.After a long day of striking out I stopped by my local machine shop.The gen IV uses the same retainer as the old straight six 250.

Jason,
I have been getting them from GM. Get the screws also as they are kind of unusual. I have the part numbers at the shop if you need them. I have been putting the Gen V type cams in almost everything. Makes it so nice not to have to mess with cam buttons etc.
