fuel level?

whats the correct way to read the fuel level...in the water or on the trailer? mine varies by about a 1/4 of a tank difference.

Water If you run out of fuel on the trailer that's ok easy to get fuel run out on the lake you problems.

I never had very much faith in boat gas guages. My hour meter has always been a better indicator for me.

Your best bet is to fill her up and then keep track of how far you go how hard you drive it then fill her up again. keep track and after about 5-8 outings you'll have a good feel. When I got my boat the guys at the marina basically told me if you see the needle move it's time to get gas.
