oil pressure sender
 

HI . on a 496 ho with smartcraft .my question is dos the smartcraft gauge and the analog gauge use the same sensor for oil pressure.on my analog gauge i never see more than 40 lbs on the smartcraft it is 57 58 lbs at 4000 rpm.i think that the smartcraft is right is the sender bad or the analog gauge ??? thanks.

different gause do use their own specific senders....I would bet that those require their own sender...tried a merc one on my crusader once and read 0, got the crusader one(they looked idenical) and showed 45
