Engine temp question
 

Hey guys just got my new engine broke in (350 SBC w/alpha one drive) and was wondering if it was normal for the engine temp to come higher if you are running hard for a few minutes. It didn't get in the red but was about 3/4 up the gauge. I just installed a new impeller this year so I'm kinda thinking I may have just been trimming a little to much and not moving enough water to keep the temp down while running 5200 rpm. Outside air temp was 88 and water was probably 65-70. Was just wondering if this normal or f I need to tear down drive and make sure I didn't suck sand into my new impeller
