1 Drive stuck up

Boated saturday, 03 Donzi 350 hours, stopped for a smoke and a beverage and the port drive would not come down. Called a buddie as we idled home, his response was to keep hitting the switch. The drive came down eventually, we got on plane and returned to the marina. Checking all electrical connections, which could be the issue. It again failed on the work rack, messing with the wires it went down, yet was not reliable. My mechanic thinks (see below).

My question is? Who has data on the over trim sensor on an X Drive or any drive fairly new drive, could this be the villan? How are they installed? Drive removal?
I was trimmed to 3 when I stopped. Won't go down, lets try up, it ran all the way up, hence could not get on plane until it was down.
Thanks in advance.

So to clarify, when it won't move there is no clicking and the motor is not engaging at all right?

Sounds like the switch or a weak connection since it wouldnt go down. If it was a trim sensor issue I would think that would only stop it from going up

Just about the right age to lose a solenoid on the trim pump.

Although an outboard, mine was stuck at full tilt, turned out to be low on oil.
Otherwise I would suspect solenoid on trim pump.

All the wires are being cleaned and maybe replace both relays, fluid is perfect. What hurt today was low voltage from my 4.5 year old marine Optimas. Just put two new ones in, it was nice of Advance Auto to price match Auto Zone, saved me $60. I think all will turn out well by the end of the day and on the water this weekend.
Thanks
Bryan

Where can you buy the solenoids? And can you jump them out just like a starter solenoid? I have the exact same damn problem right now.

Yes, you can jump them just like a starter.
