Default Adding anodes to K Planes.

I have a set of K Planes without the anodes installed. Can I add these for salt water use? If so is it as easy as drilling a hole and installing them or would I have to drill and have the plate powercoated?

On some of the K-planes on the plate that bolts up to the transom, had mount holes for round zinc buttons and also on the tabs.
