imco powerflow hitting power steering pump hoses....

man i tell you almost every day i run into ANOTHER issue trying to get this friggen boat back together and in the water...

now the power steering hoses hit the imco manifold?? pic below is my OEM manifold and it had hardly any room between it and the 90 hose bend, the imco is more smooth in its transition so the 90 degree bend in the hose hits big time where the arrow is drawn. i thought about trying to bend the fitting but then i think the crimp fittting where it goes back to rubber hose will hit the bracket the pump mounts too. anyone have this issue and have a easy fix short if bending things and hoping i dont kink the tubing in the process???

Do they make a different PS bracket to mount the pump higher, looks like moving up an inch would give you clearance?? Contact IMCO to see if they have any tips?

ok got a pic of the actual manifold after effin around for an hour seeing if there was some orientation that cleared with no luck....

if i need a new bracket thats gonna make me mad, why cant they tell you this stuff wont fit if it doenst fit the OEM brackets????

oh and to top it off the exhaust doesnt line up well at all with my transom even though this system is to work with my OEM silent choice............... my stock stuff was straight shot out the back with no kinks.... one problem after another getting this done:blaster::blaster:

+2 change the bracket. I have ran IMCO's in the past. Never with silent choice.

Look at the bright side, with IMCO you can take the valve covers off pretty easy:drink:

You can change to a banjo fitting on hose also.

MORE INFO ON THIS BANJO SETUP PLEASE!!!!

any pics showing what you mean?? i assume i would need the 90 degree fitting removed from the hose and something else put on that end?? I'm familiar with banjo setup in brake calipers.

if i have to buy a bracket i will be spending BIGGGG $$$ on shipping, plus $130 for the bracket itself since those parts are in CA and i'm in NY and i have 5 days off this weekend so this boat better be in the water!!!

go to cpperformance and look under steering parts and they sell the banjo fitting.i had the same problem w/my emi manafolds.its a cheap fix and it works.the only draw back is that you have to re-do the line w/ss braided hose.i think w/the fitting and the hose was less than 100.00.

I believe that I have the correct bracket that you need. I got it with a set of Imco manifolds that i bought here on OSO. I didn't need it and have no use for it. I will donate it if it will help you out of a jam. PM me your address, and i will ship it. I work for Fedex, so shipping is pretty cheap too.
