So the x dim is the level of the prop axis. I see some boats on here with shorter lower units. I assume that is to raise the x dim and less drag with having the lower unit higher?

Kind of, x dim is the measurement from the engine crank to the bottom of the boat. Propshaft depth is measured from the center of the propshaft to the bottom of the boat.

Over the last couple years I bought everything to do what you're looking at, but then I found the new boat I sold everything off (including the old boat with the 454) and I only have the carb and intake left. New boat is a 350 Mag so of course I didn't need any of the BBC stuff. Chad

hey wowchad...could you send me a copy of the engine upgrade article as well? I just had mine rebuilt, but i'm curious what other people say for upgrades compared to what my engine builder recommended.
