Default setting cam endplay with cloyes 2 piece timing cover

Hey guys i have a 2 piece cloyes timing chain cover and i was wondering if anybody out there knows the correct method of setting the endplay with this cover?

I'm pretty sure my 2 piece cover is a cloyes, I used a roller thrust bearing (on the front of timing gear), I put shims under the roller button base ubtil I had a few thous play, Smitty
