Should I trouble shoot it first before buying one? Maybe disconnect it to se if thats the alarm or not?

Just bit the bullet and buy it. I spent half of last summer dealing with the same issue. Turns out I had a few grains of sand plugging up my water pressure sensor. It is an easy fix. It is located on your Impeller Housing.

Have it scanned by a mechanics or buy the Rinda scan tool. It's worth it.

Not trying to come across as a D1(k, but $100 is not that much when dealing with these types of boats. Granted $100 does buy a lot of beer, but it will also get rid of that pesky alarm you are dealing with. To me, that sounds like $100 well spent.... How much is your time worth? Figure you spend 4 hours (here and there) screwing with it trying to troubleshoot.... That $100, equates to $25.00 an hour........ Me, I'd rather spend that 4 hours on the water drinking the beer........:lolhit:
