What about 4 3/8" stroke?

There are more variables than rod and piston length.

Longer rods also reduce piston movement during the overlap since the cranks rotates more degrees before the piston starts moving. If you are close to reversion, longer rods give you a little more buffer.

I remember the long rod/short stroke combo was the rage for custom small blocks back in the late '90's. People were using big bore blocks with like 327 (3.25 stroke) cranks to make oversquare 350's. They were claiming to be able to run less octane for the same compression due to the piston speed profile. I don't know if it really pans out, but for sure your rod geometry will be better.

If you look at motorcycle engines, they are way oversquare, and have quite long rod/stroke ratios.
