pretty good now, I had surgery when mine was started and told him to take his time, I sent him my motor over a winter with a nov to april date line when he was at 150% to 200 % over on his builds back in 2009/2010. this past year he was getting motors done with in a tighter span ,just not sure. my other builder here in mass had the same problem got to many jobs in. this years a friend I sent to him was in a bind his builder took over a year in 2010 and still needed to build a match motor my guy did it in 3 weeks that fast for anyone. now the guy and his dad and friend are sending 5 motors to be built all 454 stroked to 496= 550hp about is what they want. those will last for 400 to 500 hours with spring changes at 250 to 300 hours. maybe more. my 509 runs great the builder is JIM RIED out of whitman mass # 781 857 2500. he has a dyno too like DEAN. whats nice about Dean he will travel and fine tune your motors in the boat. Jim won't. so if your in ohio your all set. they both have speed shops too and can get you a lot of stuff. boat stuff I use BILL out of Diamond marine performance from here. he has the best prices and KNOWS his chit. and is on the east coast. if your a builder thats good and only uses a few people to build with as JIM including his son and maybe 3 other people or Dean who works by himself or has one other helper A you know your getting there work NOT like some other Companies that have a bunch of guys working UNDER THERE NAME:grinser010: and your paying hugh price for a build that blows or breaks after a few runs or races. DEANS RACE ENGINES stay in the boats all season and one team went 4 seasons before a rebuild running 800hp na 540 ci. motor 7200rpm. only did the rebuild to check it out. his motors last.ps my motor is set to run 6000 to 6400rpm so it will last longer.
C'mon Artie that's not the story you told on the phone paid in full ,took years, you rented a building for the rig and motor install and wasted tons of cash ...are'nt you the RUG guy
