thunderbolt 4 ign problem
 

engine is a blown 355 merc dist, thunderbolt 4 ign, engine cranks but no spark, if i tap the wht grn to ground it will fire the coil, tried 2 diff dist same problem no spark, i hooked up my spare dist to the wiring and spun the dist over with a drill no fire or tach sig at dash,tach stays at 0

any ideas

Did you try replacing the coil ? Kill switch lanyard ? (sometimes they get bumped, and then the motor wont fire). :drink:

swapped coils first and kill switches in place, plus if i manualy ground the coil it will fire

need to know how to test the tb4 system

did you have the distributor grounded?and have you tried the dist module?

i just got it running clead off the corrosion on the rotor where it hooks to dist shaft and now it fired right up
