Mastercraft ski engine
My friend has a 1999 mastercraft ski engine with some sort of GM 350 in it. The motor is a V drive that has a hole in the timing chain cover.
Looking at the top of the motor it looks like the motor is fuel injected, there is no distributor. The intake has a small round cover that is locked down with a distributor hold down, i.e. there is no distributor at the normal gm 350 spot. Can someone identify the 350 so we can get another timing chain cover? Is that an LS motor or an older version of a 350. Thanks, Tom |
LT1 marinized by indmar , Does the motor look like this?

Yep, LT1. Do a bit of research before you tackle the timing cover gasket. It's a little more involved then then a regular 350. You should give the opti-spark a good inspection while it's apart too.

Mastercraft also used the Cadillac Northstar engine at one time. Do not remember the years.
Post a pic if you can, also how did the hole get in the timing chain cover. Not seeing this motor nor the hole and its location in the timing chain cover would it be for a cam sensor ? Just asking not saying it is at this point nor ruling it out. Good luck |
