all my intake bolts were loose, and I had ALOT of water in teh engine. i had to use about a gallon of diesel fuel in the oil to flush it out. I also have a 12qt pan, so you probably don't need as much.

Bringing this way back from the dead. At the end of the 2011 season the motor with the water in the oil dropped a cylinder. I could hear it skipping a cylinder on the starter. I pulled the motors last spring but there was far too much on my plate to deal with it. I pulled the motor down this week and found that cylinder 5 spark plug had shattered and there was signs of rust in the cylinder. Further investigation showed the head was cracked between the seats. I just ordered a pair of new heads from GM instead of chancing another used set. Bob M roller cams are going in both motors and I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed that the other motor doesn't crack a head, although they checked out fine during the rebuild.
