AN water inlets vs. crossover

I see some guys using little plates that have AN style fittings, that feed water to each side of the block, instead of a crossover. I like the look. Also, with my crossovers, with the 1 1/4 hose feeding them, makes for it hard to read the timing marks on the balancers.

Guys running this setup, how are you plumbing your system?

I like that setup too, but the only times I have seen it used is when they are cooling the exhaust first, which heats the water and eliminates the need for a thermostat

The other way I have seen them used is when using a cam driven water pump. That pump has one inlet and 2 outlets, so it is easier to use the individual plates with the AN fittings.
