I saw a pressure and flow test done on all the major brands on the TV show Horsepower. Fram was the worst performer (they are a piece of crap). Wix and Baldwin where the best. I guess a couple million truckers can't be wrong, if you check 95% of all the semis on the road are running Wix or Baldwin. Just sayin.

A Wix Racing 51060R for BBC costs $11.49 at my local NAPA.

i wonder how the merc compares.....who makes it?

Wix all the way. Take a Wix and fram and cut them apart. The Wix filter has 30%+ more filter material plus flows beter.

I went Fram to Wix and picked up some oil pressure.

Do you use that for a 525efi? Sounds better than the Merc filters for $20.
