The sound will vary depending on what engines are in the boat and what brand of mufflers are being used.

I have Gibson clamp ons, they take the harshness out. Boat still sounds menacing just not ear piercing. I have a fairly built motor and without them I can drown out a good thunderstorm. I do a lot of river cruising and they make it very tolerable.

I have a pair of ggb clamp on mufflers. Which I thought they sounded good. Gave it a nice little deeper tone. Plus I like the way they look. I think they only do inserts but worth looking into. Also just remembered they worked with dry exhaust.

The Aqua power units I had gave it a deeper tone and chilled the racket a good deal. I didn’t notice any power loss.

I bought a set of Aqua Power as well , actually bought 2 sets to get the one set I wanted as the price was spot on. Have the other set in Swap Shop.

How do you get your Gibsons so shiny? Mine are getting dull after 10 years.
