What type of gauge is this?
I bought a boat recently and it came with a gauge that I'm not sure of its purpose though. My only guess is it was a windlass anchor controller/gauge but there are no signs of anchor being mounted on the bow.
What do you guys think this is? I believe it was all black plastic before it was painted white. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...2/IMG_1088.jpg |
Looks like a windlass switch to me. See a lot of boats that have tons of prewired switches for access. not onboard.

that would be my bet...

Oh man thats from the famous Avanti that came from my area and ended up in upstate.... I think the kid paid like $7000 for it and put a "No Frills" white single stage paint job on it and sold it for over 20g's.

Sounds like he got a pretty good deal on the boat but he sold it to me with a nice manning tripple axle trailer for what I felt was a good deal also, I bought it for a bit less than 20k by the way. My goal is to redo the cockpit , redo the dash, and freshen up where it needs elsewhere this year. The next year I'll most likely put some big power in the boat, the paint job is definately a "No Frills" job but it actually shows pretty nice in person so I'll leave it alone until I'm ready to repaint it. |

That same kid took a mid 80's Chris Craft 31 ft stinger and wrapped it to look like a Cig, with the Cig #1 racing logo on the side
