454 bored .60 over

so my old 454 is apart and the rebuild begins. its bored .60over and if its stroked to a 496 what will the final cc be? thx

if i'm figuring correctly, a 454 stroked to 4.25 and the cylinders punched out .060 will net you a 496. if you keep the stock stroke of 4" and bore out .060 you have a 468. The cc of the quench area will depend on what pistons, valves, head and head gaskets you are using. What cc are you referring to?

cc i meant cubic, i thought it was bored .60 over then stroked it would have been larger than a 496.

cheers

It all depends on what stroke crank you use !!!!

A standard bore 4.251" 454 standard stroke 4.00 = 454cu/in
A standard bore 454 stroked 4.25 is 482cu/in
+0.030" bore = 489cu/in
+0.060" bore = 496cu/in
