There are no numbers stamped in stock GM camshafts for 496 -8.1L engines. the numbers on the ends of the crankshafts are core numbers that are lasered not stamped and these camshafts are not for purchase from GM. Raylar has replacement new billet camshafts for 496's and I think our profiles are better anyway. You may be able to find a used HO camshaft with a listing on here or in the parts swap section.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

I had a look at the factory cam out of my 496HO and it has 8912 4219 on the end and ACM 1954120 on the shaft. The 0 is a bit vague as it is against the base of the first lobe.

I replaced it (as it had been for a swim and was corroded) with a factory part number 881628.

Cheers CC
