Revolution 4 Prop

Does anyone have experience with this prop? The blade design is very different from the Bravo I. I know the Rev 4 diameter is smaller, but what is the design intent of the Rev 4 vs the Bravo? Mercury information is worthless.....

Thanks...:)

I loved mine

it was 2.5 mph faster in stock form than my labbed Bravo 1 24. Thie only problem is the biggest pitch it comes in is 23. It was about the same r's as my labbed 24. Maybe just a few more r's.
I let a buddy try it his boat and he lost speed over his bravo 24.
All of my test were done on gps and changing props back to back.
When I put on my shortie the dia of the Rev 4 was too small and it slipped. I did a back to back with the shortie and the Rev 4 was only about .5 mph faster with the shortie comparing it to the 26. Thats right a 26. The shortie let me turn a 26.

The prop was designed for boats that wanted the stern lifting properties of the bravo1, but couldn't swing one. So the diameter was reduced and the smaller pitches were offered.

The boat came with a 21P Mirage Plus, which allows the 490HO to run up to 5000 rpm trimmed out nicely. Using a 22P Bravo I (demo with less than desireable chipped blue paint finish) the engine will run up to 4500 rpm, but offers 5 mph more top end.

I need the surface area of 4 blades since we typically load the boat with 2000 lbs of fuel, passengers and supplies. My guess is that the Rev 4 (22P or labbed 23P) will spin up a few hundred rpm more. Just not sure if the Rev 4 will have the excellent bite that the Bravo I does?

it has a straight hub

so you will see a small amount of slip on take off. The staight hub gets the top end though. Like a Hydromotive does. Sounds like a 21 will work. They come in 17,19,21,&23

I'm using the 23p Rev 4 on a non step 27 Fountain, this is the best prop to date for me. Among the props I'v tested are 24,26 Hydro, 26,24 Mach stern driver,25 mirage ( won't plane, just blows out). This prop has a very low slip of around 11%.Would love to lab, but the few prop people I've talked to say it does'nt work to well.
