500EFI Whipple on 454 MPI Mag????
 

I found a really, really good deal on a Whipple supercharger for a 500EFI for a 502.

My questions is this... Can I make that charger work on my 454 MAG?

Can I take the parts of this system and add some new whipple components to make it work?

I believe the 500 efi charger is about 8 years old.

And if it can't be done... Anyone out there want to sell me a bolt on supercharger for my 454 MPI MAG?:D

why not? Only thing I can think is at worst you may need to change the fuel press or efi map for the 454I would contact whipple to be sure. I'm sure someone else will chime in

I have found a few eBay setups and had questions. Left roughly 5 voicemails for Dustin and no return phone call...

Also, the kit I have found will come with the 500EFI upper and lower manifold.

Will the lower intake on the 500efi fit my 454 MAG heads?

What kind of power are you looking to make? You can try and contact Dustin here on OSO, goes by the name Whipple Charged. Besides having a fuel system that can keep up with the power, you should look into an oil cooler and raw water supply that is up to the task as well. Are you running a standard B1 drive? Full hydraulic steering? I'm asking these questions because every piece of the setup is part of a reliable setup.

Yes, GM BBC rect port heads. I think your fuel system is different on the 454 MPI, but not sure

No on the hydraulic steering, it is on the list.

Not one that is up for 650-750 hp imo. Get hydraulic steering up on your list, It is what I like to call mandatory with this kind of power and speed. What boat are you running?
