Whats the best cam, cam, carb setup for this to make the most power??? I was told to ask the best so here i am come on guys tell me what i need.

do you want most power or decent but reliable power. How much wrenching do you want to do when it is running?

I will take a stab. 1050 Dom. Nvh Brodix intake. AFR 345 heads. As far as the cam do you want to run solid/hyd, or just hydraulic? That will play a roll as well. What comp do you want to run?

If you really want true, professional advice, then I would consult "RMBuilder" aka Bob Madara of Marine Kinetics. Bob is at least worth a phone call and will consult you on what you already have or if you want to upgrade, etc,---especially critical cam profile/selection and get you dialed in. (585) 654-8583

Agreed, Bob is the best there is for high performance marine valvetrain.

No matter what you want, as Biggus and KAAMA suggested, you want Marine Kinetics to grind it for you. Don't experiment, do it right once. He can tell you more about high performance marine cams and what works well with what, than just about anybody here. It is not going to cost you much more if any, than an off-the-shelf cam from Comp ect.

No matter who you decide to call, you are going to need a LOT of information about your boat, engines, and drives, and how you want to use the boat before they can give you a correct answer. Make sure you have as much information as possible.

Selecting a camshaft is probably THE most important part of an engine build. If you dont get it right, you will never be happy with the results.

I'm going to be a broken record here. Call Bob. The last cam he did for me I made 1.23 hp per cubic inch. The engine had excellent dock manners and great top end and I was able to run standard Stainless Marine risers with out reversion. Plus he's a great guy to work with.
