2 circuit to 3 circuit Dominators?

Can 2 circuit dominators be reworked to a 3 stage in any way?

I don't think so. I don't see how you could drill out the upper air bleeds that control the middle circuit.

there is no reason to run a 3 circuit in a marine app, they are only designed for a drag race setup where you are leaving on a trans brake and 2 step where there is no accel pump shot left for the launch...

+1 you have the right carbs

Whats wrong with your two circuit dominators??

Young Performance 02-02-2012 01:11 PM

I am certainly not a carb expert, but in the few carb engines I do, I use the 2 circuit. The 3 circuit carbs seem to have a rich spot in them at tip in that is next to impossible to get out. Stick with your 2 circuit carbs.

That would be a question for Patrick@ Pro Systems carbs. I have always used a 3 circuit 4500 series carb with no tuning problems in the transition from idle to int to main circuit. Actually you can control your fuel curve off idle, into the 2nd circuit, with adding fuel to the main circuit. Have always used a 2 circuit type for a 4150 style, due to signal to carb.

worked on many dominators...actually had to mod a 3 circut to a 2 as would not leave the starting line clean in my top sportsman car...talked to the holley techs a lot on the issue...

Exactly im looking to have a bit more tunability at idle. its hard to get best of both with the setup i have, Spent lots of time tuning and testing with these 2 circuits.
