Default motor / HP Identification

Wondering if anyone can help me ID my project motor. Its an '01 EFI merc, with the TBI.

The Merc S/N is : m096669
The Block Casting is : 10243880
The Head Casting is : 10239906

Its is a bravo 3 setup pulled from a 27 Rinker. My guess is a 330HP motor, but I can't find much of anything.

Also - The motor blew the headgasket and detonated to the point of cutting a fireslot between cylinders 2/4 on both the block and head. What I can't understand is why the knock sensor didn't resolve the detonation issue before it damaged the motor. Thoughts?

Well it is definitely not a 330 hp motor. It is a small block. Serial comes back as 1999-2001 305 or 350 cu in.

Looking for the block # now.....

It has a throttle body injection system, and its not an MPI motor. It has a std. distributor with the ECM controlling the fuel system. The S/N I pulled right off the side of the block. Stamped by Merc. weird...

One way or another, not 330 hp. If it was a 350 magnum mpi it would only be 300 hp.....and that is the tops for the 350. ONly get more if you go up in inches like the 357, 377, or 383 from merc.
