i need to replace some steering parts due to wear .i called marine machine # off the web site 954-458-1312 and its not their # is there any way to get replacement parts and the pistons rebuilt or is there a different phone # for them

most of these hyd steering rams are, from from what i hear, marinized farm tractor hyd cylinders. look at some old threads about hydraulic steering.

I was able to get some rebuild kits from MM just a couple months ago. I've read where the owner is mostly retired. Keep trying, he could be on vacation, but he'll get you the stuff if you can reach him.

As far as marinized tractor cylinders. I don't think so. These are all stainless, and they look way different compared to what I see on my tractor.

I decided it wasn't worth my time to take them apart first and figure out the PN of every o-ring and the wiper seals at McMaster, so I just ponied up for the kits. You could do that though, nothing special about the o-rings.

His name is Byng, and he's still around. I talked to him a couple months ago, and emailed him about my steering.. he's a cool guy, and has been in the Marine Industry since the beginning of time..

And no, the steering is not farm tractor stuff.. LOL!!
