Im gonna stroke my 454 to a 496, have the 088 heads, and will be running a procharger with 5-7 psi. are these old gills any good to use? id like to buy the silent choice risers and run my silent choice also

Check them for internal hairline cracks at the dividers below the risers. That is the most common place for them start getting bad.

are they a hp loser? they come on the 2 motors i got, and im stroking them to a 496, and running a procharger

They are fine to about 600hp NA and 700hp or more if SC'd.

thanks, this set only has 150 hrs on them. i was suprised they were aluminum. im hoping i can find the short risers for them to run my silent choice
